Gum disease is an inflammatory infection from germs in and around the gums and surrounding bone in the oral cavity. Periodontitis is a slow, long process involving the loss of bone that supports teeth and surrounding gum or gingiva. It is estimated that over 50% of adult Americans have some form of periodontal disease. The important new finding is that gum disease may raise blood sugar levels in people with and without diabetes.

Are Genetically Modified Foods Safe?

GM foods are NOT safe to consume.  The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) agrees. Their research confirms this. The Academy reported that many health risks are associated with GM foods. These include infertility and immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the GI system. The AAEM asked physicians to advise patients to avoid GM foods.
